Privacy policy
Updated October 24, 2026 · Operated by Loukik NaikThis policy covers the PodClipper website and its hosted podcast-to-reels workspace. The command-line application runs on your own machine and uses the services you configure; this website policy describes our hosted service.
Information we collect
- Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive identity information. We store your Google account identifier, email address, and display name. We do not receive your Google password.
- Submissions and results: YouTube links, uploaded videos and filenames, video titles, downloaded video/audio, transcripts, selected moments, generated captions and reels, and processing status.
- Service records: sign-in sessions, monthly usage, processing errors, and operational request logs. Our infrastructure providers may also process network information such as IP addresses.
How we use it
We use this information to authenticate you, enforce the five-video monthly allowance, process your submissions, show your private job history and results, troubleshoot failures, and respond to support requests. Account sessions use a secure browser cookie with a maximum lifetime of 30 days. Signing out invalidates that session.
Services involved in processing
- Google: account sign-in. Basic sign-in does not grant us access to your Gmail, Drive, or private YouTube account.
- GitHub Pages and Cloudflare: website hosting and secure routing to our operator-managed processing server.
- YouTube: retrieval of the public video you submit. We do not use your personal YouTube cookies to download videos.
- OpenRouter and its selected AI providers: audio, transcript excerpts, clip text, and selected video frames may be sent to transcription, language, and vision models to generate your results. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Processing and provider infrastructure may be located outside your country. We do not sell your personal information. We do not publish your generated reels to social media automatically.
Storage and retention
Incomplete uploads expire after 24 hours of inactivity. Your browser may retain an upload identifier and file fingerprint to resume interrupted transfers; it does not store the video itself. Results and job working files are kept for seven days after a job finishes or fails, then scheduled for deletion. Source downloads and processing caches are removed sooner when a job completes successfully. Cleanup runs while the processing worker is online, so deletion can be delayed during downtime. Your account, job history, and usage records remain until you request deletion; operational logs may remain for troubleshooting.
Results are accessible through account-authenticated requests. Other regular users cannot browse your jobs or results. The service administrator, Loukik Naik, can view account names, email addresses, processing status and generated reels through a restricted dashboard to monitor the service and troubleshoot issues. You can choose to download and share your own reels.
Your choices and deletion requests
You can stop using the service, sign out, and revoke PodClipper's connection in your Google account. Revoking Google access does not automatically delete records we already hold. To request deletion of your account, submissions, results, or associated personal information, email loukiknaik@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when the service or its data practices change. For questions about privacy, contact loukiknaik@gmail.com.
